Simply track your
friends' flights.
Flugwacht is a minimal flight tracker for the flights you actually care about. No account, no ads, everything stays on your device. The flight data comes from community-run ADS-B networks.

A look at the app.

How it works.
Planes broadcast
Nearly every airliner continuously transmits its position over ADS-B radio.
Communities listen
Thousands of volunteers with small antennas feed open networks like adsb.lol and adsb.fi.
Flugwacht shows it
Flugwacht reads their open APIs and shows you where your flight is and when it lands.
The data behind Flugwacht.
Flugwacht currently supports two community-run data sources. You pick the active one in the app settings.
Open, community-run ADS-B network with a free public API.
Community ADS-B aggregator run by hobbyists, open and non-commercial.
If you have a Raspberry Pi and an antenna, you can contribute data yourself. Both communities are always happy about new feeders.
Flugwacht is open source.
Flugwacht is open source. Read the code, file an issue or build it yourself.
FAQ.
Is Flugwacht really free?
Yes. Flugwacht is free and open source, has no ads and needs no account. It's a project by Boundfox Studios.
Which flights can I track?
Every flight that broadcasts ADS-B, which is nearly every airliner worldwide. You can add a flight by its flight number, registration or hex code.
What does 'no signal' mean?
Over oceans and in remote areas there are fewer receivers, so short gaps are normal. The flight reappears once it's back in range.
Does Flugwacht collect my data?
No. Your flights are stored only on your device, and the app only talks to the data source you picked.
